Guardian Elder Care, a leading healthcare company committed to patient care, is hiring for a Vice President of Quality/Process Improvement & Quality Management. This position is located in Wheeling, WV and offers competitive salary, extensive benefits, and a relocation package.

The Vice President of Performance Improvement & Quality Management is responsible for planning and implementing professional quality processes and operations to lead Guardian Healthcare sites, leadership and staff toward the utilization of continuous quality improvement. The VP of Performance Improvement and Quality Management has oversight for all quality and performance improvement processes, procedures and policies. 


Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other clinical practice area of Healthcare or related field required. Master's in Healthcare or Nursing preferred. Licenses/Certification: RN license or other clinical certification/license preferred. CPHQ, Green to Black Belt Certification, other similar quality certifications preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a healthcare leadership role with a focus on quality and performance improvement. Experience in acute and post-acute care required and long term care preferred. Experience with use of quality and performance tools and techniques, i.e. Six Sigma, Green/Black Belt.

Essential Functions

• Provides ongoing support and guidance for site leadership for quality and compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory and Guardian Healthcare requirements related to quality of care, clinical/medical record documentation, KPIs and monitoring/compliance processes.

• Successfully performing in a broad, multi-site leadership role.

• Articulates a vision, coaching, accountability and recognition for quality improvement techniques and design.

• Participates in planning and creating the strategic, service design, and other organizational plans and policies to achieve the mission and vision of quality and performance improvement for the organization.

• Develops, designs and provides the quality tools and techniques for the scope of services, departmental policies and procedures to guide and support the provision and integration of services according to mission and vision Guardian Healthcare

• Creates and maintains data driven quality and performance improvement processes, administrative and reporting procedures and people systems in place to ensure clinical excellence improvement, compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, quality and performance improvement and operating efficiency.



• Interprets patterns and trends in quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate outcomes of care and compare to other recognized benchmarks or outcomes.

• Presents and teaches quality improvement techniques and tools to leadership, staff and all level of the organization.

• Demonstrates working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulatory and Guardian Healthcare's exceptional standards of care and quality.

• Knowledge of policies and procedures related to acute and post-acute care.

• Ability to teach and train new information.
